2030 Infiniti Le Mans — Tao Ni, a Chinese designer, is the Michelin 2017 Challenge Design “Le Mans 2030: Design for the Win” competition winner. Being the Michelin design challenge winner, He proposes a design that makes other future concepts look lame. It integrates new technology and future expectation on automotive, and it suggests that the race will evolve. Here is the full detail on the concept. 2030 Infiniti Le Mans Specs Features, Exterior, and Interior 2030 Infiniti Le Mans Concept Tao Ni takes an Infiniti car for its concept. But, this one is a lot safer and faster than any currently existing prototypes. The main concept still considers the main ideas of the race which are endurance, safety, and performance. Therefore, the concept features a design that suggests the driver, or racer in another word, to drive during the whole day and leave it to the autonomous driving system during the night. On the outside, the car looks distinctive. Based on the concept image revealed, this car is finished mainly in blue with super low ride height, and it isn’t tall at all. The car body is filled with aerodynamic elements and body parts including advanced air tunnels, and big numbers of air intakes, fins, and wings. This look hasn’t been found on any car before. And yet, it looks very promising for a race car, as long as the racer won’t suddenly get claustrophobic on the super low roof cockpit. This Le Mans 2030 car concept is expected to offer major down-force on car’s weight as well. So, speed improvement is totally on the table. Besides the entire finish, this car also counts on the advanced autonomous driving system, which makes one of the main cores of the car performance. If it is safe enough, it is predicted to change the race in the future. Tao Ni, who is a design student, has been officially invited to next year 24 Hours of Le Mans race. While three winners, including Tao Ni, will be recognized during North American International Auto Show in January 2017. However, considering only very few of the concepts feature autonomous driving system, it is only logical that Tao Ni makes the winner. While building a concept is entirely different to putting it on real production version car, we shouldn’t hope too much on the Michelin design challenge winner even though he is good.
