2018 Porsche Panamera Wagon May Come in 2017 — Have been spotted in Nurburgring sometimes ago, the new 2018 Porsche Panamera wagon is strongly rumored to be seriously produced by the German automaker. The idea of a wagon from this brand is rather odd as people will associate Porsche with fast sports and supercars. Anyway, here is a little update on this rumor. 2018 Porsche Panamera Wagon Specifications Features, Exterior, and Interior As we can guess, this is the 2018 Porsche Panamera wagon version of the standard Panamera . Even though many rumors spread on this car, there are no official leaks on the actual design. The original Panamera is often called as the “humped back whale” by sports car aficionados. Meanwhile, this wagon can be the stretched-roof version of it. We should also expect similar elements as we can find on the second generation of Panamera four-door coupe and Sports Turismo concept revealed in 2012. From the spy shots, the prototype seems to gain extended boot, four doors and a hatch in the back. It is a lot slimmer, but its front and rear ends are still not production-ready. Ground clearance is pretty low, imitating the coupe version. The interior should be premium as decided by Porsche, offering class and elegant in this practical wagon. However, details are not included in any way at this point. Powertrain, Engine – 2018 Porsche Panamera Wagon Of course, there is no word on its powertrain so far. However, if we look at what is available on Panamera right now, we have the excellent option. The V6 engine generating 440 hp of power output can be a good candidate. In the alternative, the same engine with 462 hp of power output is also available in the hybrid variant of Panamera. The V8 engine generating 550 hp. That can be a great alternative as well when it comes to the larger car like wagon model.
Those engines are the best possible options so far, even though buyers should expect different performance figures when it powers the wagon.
Obviously, there is no possible estimation, let alone official, pricing on this new Panamera wagon model. However, Porsche will reveal this car in 2017 Geneva Motor Show. With the official sale will begin at the following year. Practically having no significant competitor in the market other than Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake, this model potentially has the real audience in the market. There is no guarantee the new model will be as charming as the coupe. But, it will be interesting to see the new 2018 Porsche Panamera wagon for real. Stay tuned for the new update on it.
